Alhamdulillah we were able to resume Jumuaa Prayers since Friday October 2nd. And the daily prayers are to be resumed on the following days. Please read the following carefully: 1- If you have any signs or symptoms of flu or a higher than normal temperature please refrain from attending. 2- Activity attendees have to sign and bring with them a release form. You may print or fill one available at entrances prior to entering ICDB. 3- Please follow all directions of the assigned staff. 4- Face mask and prayer rug (2x2 cloth may be used) are requirements for attending. 5-Masjid doors will be opened at 1:20 PM and Salah will start at 1:35 PM. Khutbah will be 15 min. 6- We will maintain a minimum a distance of 3 ft. during the Khutbah and Friday prayer. ICDB doors will be locked after reaching capacity. This rule will be followed strictly. IMAMS EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND RELATED JOB DUTIES Education & Experience: Preferred to have a 4 year degree in Islamic Studies from an accredited institution, A minimum of 3 years of relevant imam experience regarding implementation of Islamic rules in accordance with Qur'aan and the authentic Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad [PBUH] as understood and implemented by the Manhaj Salaf as-Saalih (our righteous predecessors). As the Imam of an Islamic Community of 300 or more members. Imam is preferred to be Hafiz Al Quran. Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic are a must, along with strong people, management and organizational skills. Essential Job Duties Tasks: 1. The Imam reports directly to the President and Religious Secretary of the Islamic Center of Daytona Beach (ICDB); 2. The Imam serves as the spiritual and religious leader of the Center; 3. The Imam is responsible for performing a total of (40) FORTY hours of the listed tasks, six days a week (the day off preferably to be a weekday) 4. The Imam shall keep appointed office hours from before Maghrib to Isha and 2 daytime hours for 2 days in a week. 5. Assure that all the laws, principles, policies, and practices of the Islamic Center are in accordance with the Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, as understood by the pious predecessors (Manhaj Salaf-us-Saalih). 6. Promote the mission of the ICDB, and implement the ICDB Bylaws. 7. Leads the religious activities of the Islamic Center including but not limited to" a) Prayers: Prepares, delivers and reviews for compliance with the Shariah according to Ahli Sunnah Wal Jamaah (Manhaj Salaf as-Saalih) all Friday Sermons ("Juma Khutbah") and other 5 daily prayers, or as a minimum 3 (Jahri Salat) Fajr, Maghrib and Isha prayers; funeral prayers; Taraweeh and Qiamul'Lail prayers during Ramadan; Eid prayers, Fridays Khutbas and Salats and other authentically approved prayers. b) Religious Education activities prepare and present lectures on Islamic matters and issues as understood and implemented by the Salaf as-Saalih. including the subjects of Quran(Recitation and explanation), Hadeeth (recitation, science, and explanation), Aqeedah (Creed of Muslim), Ahkam (Rulings), Seerah (History), Adab (etiquette), serving the general members of the Muslim community for the following as minimum weekly classes: i. (1) One General members Friday class ii. (1) One Youth Class iii. (1) One Women specific Class iv. (1) One General members Advanced Islamic Studies c) Youth Social/ Educational Monthly Activities including an Islamic lecture. d) Establishes, Develop and assist in supervising an educational TEAM for None Muslim, New Muslim, Jail, Schools, and related educational classes and coordinates these efforts with the President and Religious Secretary of the ICDB. e) Responds to all inquiries Serves as the Center's chief spokesman on religious matters, and provide an Islamic approved answer, attend informative sessions and debates regarding Islamic matters, and issue appropriate fatwah with proper proofs ("Daleel") from the Quran and the Sunnah and the guidance of the Salaf as-Saalih ("righteous predecessors and practitioners of the Prophet's [PBUH] Sunnah according the six Sahih Books which are mention in the ICDB by Laws). f) Develop and Implement Da’wah programs while spearheading a Da’wah committee. g) Cooperate with the Principal of the Islamic Academy of Daytona Beach and assist in the selection of the religious curriculum. The Imam must teach 4 class hours in the Islamic Academy on Sunday. On Sunday, he may adjust his prayer requirements as he feels necessary. h) Represent the Islamic Center regarding religious matters. Coordinates with the President and Religious Secretary of the ICDB regarding general matters to the public and the media. 8. Social and Civic work: The IMAM will establish convenient office hours to assist the community in the social and interpersonal relationships including but not limited to: a) Performing marriages, family counseling, mediating and divorce, b) Act as a mediator and assist in personal reconciliations, quarrels solutions, and adjudicating, etc. c) Participate in Social Activities as community planned gathering, picnics, family and community trips, sick or senior visits, senior and special need programs, etc. d) Develop and supervise support groups for families and individuals. e) Develop, implement and participate in Community Service Programs including FAITH, Interfaith Programs, Community based programs, f) Universities visits, g) Government offices visits 9. Ensure the religious materials of the Islamic Center are properly maintained and safely secured. 10. Fundraising: Work with a fundraising team including the (EC) executive committee members, the (BT) board of trustees, and the general attendees of the ICDB or the public to I. develop fundraising programs, II. schedule an appropriate fundraising campaigns, III. establish fundraising budgets, IV. solicit fundraising team members V. participate in fundraising efforts VI. assess and evaluate fundraising campaigns The following are annual fundraising campaigns that are necessary to the fulfillment of the ICDB mission and ongoing programs: Zakat Al Maal, Masjid Operating Fund Ramadan Major Fundraiser Future Projects and Growth Campaign Educational Fundraising Campaign Cemetery and Janazah (Funeral) fund Campaign Social Services and Activities Fund Campaign Emergency Fundraiser Compensation $48K-60K based on experience and qualifications.
